Your cat wants you to stop doing these 7 annoying things

7 ways to annoy your cat and what to do instead
1.Put all their cat toys in one basket
If your cat can roll their eyes, they will. Where in nature are all the animals in one place, or are they always in sight? Cat carnivores have many species and habitats. Not only are there different types of prey (birds, rodents, insects, reptiles), but they are also found in many different places and hiding places.
Cats hide in places like holes, nests, behind bushes, in trees, under rocks and in water. When giving your cat toys indoors, try to vary both the type of toys and where they are, such as a pet outside. Creating something that fulfills their desires will help avoid a stressful and unhappy cat life. If you must put cat toys in a basket, organize several baskets at home!
2. Read the cat puzzle to them
Predators tend to move away from the cats instead of towards them. When playing with your cat, do your best to rob your cat of prey. This will help to simulate a good predatory behavior: trying to run or hide. This will activate the cat-seeking circuit, which is the best brain chemical experience for cats. A battery-powered hide-and-seek or "Whack-A-Mole" toy can also help provide the best part of hunting: hidden wildlife.
On instinct, cats deliberately cut their prey in half and then leave it to hide. When the meat finally comes out (or is taken out of the hole by the cat), it becomes a little bit of fun for the cat. Cats will eventually leave the prey to recreate the thrill of the hunt. This cycle can continue for some time. You can create this experience for your cat by moving their toys behind the furniture so they can hear it but not see it. With this search circuit strategy, many cat owners find their cats calm and playful for the first time!
3. Expecting them to 'obey'
Cats are not dogs. Interestingly, these two animals that live with humans cannot be separated from each other. Dogs will obey and try to please their owner in order to remain part of the pack, but cats do not share this way of thinking. Think of your cat as a squirrel or a raccoon. They can do whatever you want when it comes to food or treats, but obey? It is not only at home that they behave morally.
4. Don't pay enough attention to them
Although cats may seem a bit awkward at times, the truth is that they have many social cues. They will rub other cats and fight with each other. We also know that they will engage in these behaviors in other species, such as dogs and humans. Talking to your cat, playing with it, cleaning it and feeding it are all forms of attention that your cat understands. Even spending time together in the same room can strengthen the bond between you.
5. Give maximum attention to your cat
Yes I know. Cats are mysterious creatures! Have you noticed that sometimes your cat doesn't come when you call, but other times it comes running? Or one minute your cat doesn't seem to get enough attention from you, and the next minute he treats you like a roommate he doesn't like? Most cats will let you know when they need attention.
Others may need less stress. Whatever you do, don't force the issue or hold the cat in his mind. It is best if the cat is in control and not forced by you. If your cat doesn't like being pet much, try playing with toys.
6 Scolding your cat
I hope that goes without saying. Scolding or punishing a cat for unwanted behavior is stressful for the cat and can be unhealthy. It is unlikely that your cat will associate its behavior with scolding you, and even if it does, it will probably not stop its unwanted behavior.
Your cat may run away from you when you clap and say no to jumping on the kitchen table, but he won't understand that his behavior is bad and won't do it again. He might even decide to shoplift when you're not around because you're acting crazy while he's doing it. Another unfortunate side effect of scolding is that your cat can learn to trust you. Over time, he may avoid you and go away.
7 Old fashioned food and water
Feeding cats and kittens several hours apart can cause stress. These days cats are only fed twice a day, eating about 10 to 12 hours apart. It is best to feed your cat several times a day with a few hours between feedings.
Having an empty stomach for a long time can make a cat unhappy and stressed. Behavioral problems can arise, such as increased barking, excessive vocalization, anger between cats and even anger against the owner. There are seasoned feeders available for dry and canned cat food to make this healthier diet a reality..............
